Balanced Smoothie
Ingredients:
Choose your base liquid: 6 to 8 ounces of either dairy milk or plant based alternative.
Pick your protein- 1 scoop of protein powder (20-30 grams of protein), ½ cup of Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
Get fruity- 1 cup of fresh fruit (apple, berries, pineapple, mango, etc.)
Add a fiber rich fat- 1-2 Tbsp of avocado, chia seeds, flax seeds or an unsweetened nut butter.
Consider adding a serving of vegetables: 1 cup of fresh leafy greens (kale or spinach) or ½ cup of cauliflower or zucchini slices.
Extras- spices such as cinnamon, turmeric, ginger; fresh herbs like mint or basil
